About me and orange walls

Dearest readers,

Welcome to my blog!

I frequently (or not so frequently) post on things regarding mental illness (bipolar) and my experiences. I talk about all sorts of things pertaining to the intersection between mental health/illness and my life as a sort of therapy but also as a means of genuinely connecting with others. I hope that you can find some comfort in my blog posts and feel comfortable enough to share your own truths.

But why “orange walls.”? The title of my blog comes from a short story I wrote; in fact, the first story I wrote describing my experiences in a semi-fictional setting. There were very bright orange walls everywhere in the institution I was staying in for my very first emergency stay-in and it effected in ways I don’t think I can truly begin to consciously describe. With that, I am a strongly Mad Pride, consumer-survivor, but I do take my medication regularly. I believe in everyone’s truths and think that we should listen rather than just try and shout over others.

I hope you find at least one blog post mildly interesting (lol) and I hope to hear from you!

With lots of love,
